No exit strategy? No problem: APC inhibits beta-catenin inside the nucleus
Article Abstract:
The transcriptional activators that are involved in different cellular pathways and regulating many different genes such as beta-catenin in Wnt signaling and p53 in checkpoint responses, are components of different and multisubunit complexes. Exporting beta-catenin out of nucleus would inhibit the activation of most Wnt target genes, and association of the APC-beta-catenin complexes on chromatin could be limited to a subset of Wnt target genes.

YY1 helps to bring loose ends together
Article Abstract:
The transcription factor Yin Yang 1 (YY1) binds with immunoglobulin having crucial role in cell cycle control, oncogenesis and X-chromosome inactivation and B cell development. YY1 is found to bring the genes located at two different ends in the close proximity and thus help in recombination.
