Combined immunomagnetic separation-molecular beacon-reverse transcription-PCR assay for detection of hepatitis A virus from environmental samples
Article Abstract:
The hepatitis A virus needs to be identified in the environmental samples and a new technique is formed for the same, which is dependent on the molecular beacon and is called the real time reverse transcription-PCR assay. Since this method is easy to use and distinctive it can be used in several applications to speedily identify the hepatitis A virus (HAV) in polluted foods or water.

Diagnostic real-time PCR assays for the detection of emetic Bacillus cereus strains in foods and recent food-borne outbreaks
Article Abstract:
A novel 5' nuclease (TaqMan) real-time PCR assay is developed in order provide a rapid and sensitive method for the specific detection of emetic Bacillus cereus in food. The developed assays could contribute substantially to determining the true incidence of the emetic type of food poisoning caused by Bacillus cereus, especially by reducing the rate of misdiagnosis.
