Patterns of antimicrobial resistance observed in Escherichia coli isolates obtained from domestic- and wild-animal fecal samples, human septage, and surface water
Article Abstract:
A repeated cross-sectional study was used to identify the patterns of antimicrobial resistance of Escherichia coli strains that were obtained from human septage, domestic animals, wildlife, farm environment and surface water in the Red Cedar watershed in Michigan. The antimicrobial agent resistance patterns are compared with those of E. coil strains obtained from surface water in the same watershed.

Antimicrobial action of carvacrol at different stages of dual-species biofilm development by Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica seovar Typhimurium
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted where bioflims of Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium were grown with a constant depth film fermentor and evaluated the antimicrobial activity of carvacrol. It was revealed that carvacrol is an effective natural intervention to control dual-species biofilm formation.
