Physical map of the genome of Oenococcus oeni PSU-1 and localization of genetic markers
Article Abstract:
The chromosome of Oenococcus oeni strain PSU-1 was mapped using restriction endonucleases and fragment order analysis. The chromosome of O. oeni is circular and contains 1,857 kilobases and 37 restriction sites. The location of several genes, recurrent sequences and two phage attachment regions as well as fragments hybridizing with heterologous probes and two ribosomal operons are identifed and described.

The Oenococcus oeni genome: physical and genetic mapping of strain GM and comparison with the genome of a 'divergent' strain, PSU-1
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Oenococcus oeni strains GM and PSU-1. The authors report that the physical and genetic maps of these strains have been compared, and the results have revealed the conservation of loci order.
