Sexual dimorphism in diverse metazoans is regulated by a novel class of intertwined zinc fingers
Article Abstract:
The structure of the Drosophila melanogaster Doublesex domain has been shown to contain a novel zinc module and disordered tail. It can be seen from the research that sexual dimorphism in diverse metazoans is regulated by a intertwined zinc fingers from a novel class. Vertebrate DM genes, the DM motif being a cysteine-rich DNA-binding domain, have been identified and are involved with human sex reversal.

Activator-mediated disruption of sequence-specific DNA contacts by the general transcription factor TFIIB
Article Abstract:
Activator-mediated disruption of sequence-specific DNA has been found to contact by the general transcription factor TFIIB according to this research communication. TFIIB-recognition element (BRE) is shown to suppress the basal level of transcription elicited by a core promoter, increasing the amplitude of transcriptional stimulation in the presence of an activator protein.
