Rapid recent radiation of S-RNase line in Witheringia solanacea (Solanaceae)
Article Abstract:
Partial sequences for 21 S-RNase alleles of the mid-elevation tropical species Witheringia solanacea were obtained in order to compare their substitution rates and genealogy with those of Witheringa maculata and two species in the closely related genus Physalis. It appears that rapid diversification of alleles characterizes the Witheringia lineages.

Structure of allelic variants of subtype 5 of histone H1 in pea Pisum sativum L
Article Abstract:
Electorphoretic data with available and newly acquired DNA sequences is used to characterize the histones H1 of pea. The DNA sequence of His5 is identified and the structural background of adaptive changes in histone H1 construction is studied.
