A role for microRNAs in maintenance of mouse mammary epithelial progenitor cells
Article Abstract:
Analysis of mutations in key RNA interference components indicates a role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in the maintenance and differentiation of mammary epithelial progenitor cells. miRNA expression pattern forms both a characteristic signature of a given cell type and helps reinforce cell fate specification.

Jmjd1a and jmjd2c histone H3 Lys 9 demethylases regulate self-renewal in embryonic stem cells
Article Abstract:
A study observed the phenomenon of embryonic stem cells, which possessed the ability of self-renewal and pluripotency. The results showed that an embryonic stem cell transcription factor regulated a novel pathway that specified the epigenetic status of pluripotency-associated genes.
