The S. cerevisiae Rrm3p DNA helicase moves with the replication fork and affects replication of all yeast chromosomes
Article Abstract:
The Saccharomyces cerevisiae DNA helicase Rrm3p is required for normal fork progression and it is shown that replication of all yeast chromosomes are delayed in rrm3 cells. The results have suggested that by virtue of its role in promoting fork progression through difficult-to-replicate sites, Rrm3p is required for the timely replication of the entire genome.

Recruitment of NIMA kinase show that maturation of the S.pombe spindle-pole body occurs over consecutive cell cycles and reveals a role for NIMA in modulating SIN activity
Article Abstract:
Mitotic exit Saccharomyces cerevisiae and septation in Schizosaccharonyces pombe are regulated by a conserved signaling network called the mitotic exit and septum initiation networks (SIN), respectively. The localization of the NIMA-related kinase, Fin-1 reveals further complexity in SPB inheritance.

S. pombe CLASP needs dynein, not EB1 or CLIP170, to induce microtubule instability and slows polymerization rates at cell tips in a dynein-dependent manner
Article Abstract:
The Schizosaccharomyces pombe CLIP170-associated protein (CLASP) Peg1 is identified in a screen for mutants with spindle formation defects and a screen for molecules that antagonized EB1 functions. The conditional peg1.1 mutant enables to identify key features of Peg1 function.
