Fertility and segregation in laboratory-reared and wild mice heterozygous for multiple Robertsonian rearrangements
Article Abstract:
Fertility and segregation have been studied in both wild and laboratory-reared mice heterozygous for multiple Robertsonian rearrangements. Direct measurement of the fertility, or litter size, in male and female laboratory-reared F1 hybrids with wild genetic background was made. The contact zone of chromosomal Mus musculus domesticus races was of interest. Among the findings was the observation that fertility in wild mice went down as numbers of heterozygosities went up.

The ceratotoxin gene family in the medfly Ceratitis capitata and the Natal fruit fly Ceratitis rosa (Diptera: Tephritidae)
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on ceratotoxins expressed in the female reproductive accessory glands in the Mediterranean fruit flies Ceratitis capitata and C. rosa. The authors report that genomic hybridization has demonstrated the presence of ceratotoxin-like sequences in Ceratitis rosa.

Temporal analysis of a hybrid zone between the CD chromosomal race (2n + 22) and populations with the standard karyotype
Article Abstract:
Contact zones between chromosomal races are disussed as seen in Mus musculus domesticus. A hybrid zone between the CD chromosomal race (2n + 22) has been studied and information about populations with the standard karyotype accumulated. Positive correlation exists between the geographical and chromosomal differentiation.
