NF1 tumor suppressor gene function: narrowing the GAP
Article Abstract:
The authors present a review of the publications on the tumor suppressor genes identified via their association with a familial cancer syndrome. The subjects of interest include NF1 and peripheral nerve sheath tumor, nerve and tumor development and the effect of the second-hit mutations on the tumor development.

Desmoglein 4 in hair follicle differentiation and epidermal adhesion: evidence from inherited hypotrichosis and acquired Pemphigus vulgaris
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on cell adhesion and communication. The authors report that desmoglein 4 is a mediator of keratinocyte cell adhesion in the hair follice, and that it coordinates transition from proliferation to differentiation.
