Time for a Global Science Corps: Spend a year in a lab in a developing country and build scientific capacity around the world
Article Abstract:
The goal of Global Science Corps (GSC) is to build scientific capacity in the developing world and promote science as a universal activity with the potential to advance public welfare. To achieve this, it provides opportunities for well-trained scientists and engineers, referred as GSC fellows at research facilities in developing countries for one-year terms to collaborate with local partners and the concept has gained attention and support from organizations and individuals around the world.

What's the value of conferences?
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted by Keystone Symposia to find the impact of the conferences in connecting the scientific society and improving the scientific progress by having the highest quality programs. It was found that fact-to-face meeting of a diverse group of conferees in an open environment has lead to sharing of information which results in progress on different fronts including education, newer concepts, efficient use of resources and time and accelerated discoveries.
