Use of an arbitrarily primed PCR product in the development of a Campylobacter jejuni-specific PCR
Article Abstract:
The species-specific genomic deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequence of Campylobacter jejuni was isolated by utilizing an arbitrarily primed polymerase chain reaction (PCR) that incorporates oligonucleotide primers. The Campylobacter jejuni-specific PCR assay amplified species-specific fingerprint products from the microbe's genomic DNA. Furthermore, the 486-bp Campylobacter jejuni-specific fingerprint probes hybridized specifically to Campylobacter jejuni DNA.

Riboflavin biosynthesis is associated with assimilatory ferric reduction and iron acquisition by Campylobacter jejuni
Article Abstract:
The links among riboflavin biosynthesis, ferric reduction and iron acquisition in Campylobacter jejuni NCTC11168 are examined. The results have confirmed the close relationships among iron acquisition, riboflavin production, and riboflavin uptake in Campylobacter jejuni.
