Changes in active bacterial communities before and after dredging of highly polluted Baltic Sea sediments
Article Abstract:
A combination of bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) immunocapture and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) fingerprinting was used to assess the composition of growing bacteria in Baltic Sea sediments. It was observed that the bacterial and archaeal communities responded differently to pollutant levels.

Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to examine the situ interactions between gfp-tagged biocontrol strains of T. atrovide and soilborne plant pathogens that are grown in cocultures and on cucumber seeds by confocal scanning laser microscopy and fluorescence stereomicroscopy.
