The debate over embryonic stem cells revenue that could be handed over to patent holders due to absurd patents on the human embryo is described. The researchers at California fear that their own innovations would be credited inappropriately or result in unfair profits, because they would have to license the basic stuff of life from the University of Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF).
