A DEA framework to assess the efficiency of the software requirements capture and analysis process
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to assess the efficiency of the Requirements Capture and Analysis (RCA) process in software development using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The DEA approach was chosen to isolate exogenous factors, including the environment or the type of project, on the RCA's efficiency. Results showed that RCA efficiency differences are present between various software development organizations. These differences are partly due to differences in the production process within each organization.

Conceptualizing structurable tasks in the development of knowledge-based systems
Article Abstract:
A knowledge-based system (KBS) depends on earlier research on the characterization and decomposition of a task based on its properties. Knowledge-modeling of structurable tasks (KMoST's) application in KBS development for the financial hedging task is also presented. Moreover, KMoST is compared to KADS and the componential approach to determine its usefulness on task modeling for KBS development.
