Advocacy, performance and threshold influences on decisions to terminate new product development
Article Abstract:
A project that has developed a new product should satisfy the strategic and economic performance goals and if it fails to do so then it's quite likely that the management might terminate the project. The projects that have radical characteristics with strategic and competitive differences should be managed differently and are more likely to be terminated. The main idea of this research is to check that performance judgement, unseen performance thresholds and management advocacy form an important part in decision making whether the project should be terminated or not.
