Affirmative action: does it really work?
Article Abstract:
A study conducted by Temple University researchers shows that identity-conscious human resource management (HRM) strategies are beneficial to women and people of color in terms of organizational representation and status. This finding suggest that HRM programs which were developed in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity legislation help promote a more equitable labor force by focusing on demographic identity and creating work environment free of prejudice.

Examining human resource options: does investment in employees pay off?
Article Abstract:
A study on four approaches to various relationships was conducted to know how employee performance and attitudes are affected by various relationships. It was indicated that organizations offering short-term monetary benefits to employees may not be competitive. The mutual investment approach was the factor found to be the best employee-employer relationship because best performance and attitudes from employees arise from it.
