Agency.com, which builds and designs Web businesses via wireless applications protocol is set to create wireless platforms for its new and current clients. The service will give consumers access to the Net via phones and hand-held computers and allow companies to offer real-time promotions and othe customers services. Agency.com has studied WAP technology long enough to feel they have consummate technology expertise; not the company has moved onto U.S. and European markets. Some of their clients include Coca-Cola and Countrywide Home Loans.

Distillers weigh TV ads urging more drinking

Various Bozell ad and media agencies have been responsible for some clever industry ads: 'Got milk?' for the milk industry and 'Pork: the other white meat' for the pork industry. Now Bozell is helping the liquor industry with 'thoughts' on an ad campaign to get the public to go back to drinking more. Alcohol consumption has dropped 40% since 1980.

Omnicom buys a 20% stake in Dash.com

Omnicom Group expands its online presence with a stake in year-old Dash.com for @ $25 million. Omnicom, which has stakes in Agency.com, Red Sky Interactive, Razorfish, Organic Inc., Think New Ideas has plans to invest in 2 more Web-service firms soon. Dash dashes an ad to Web sites offering the consumer cheaper prices at a competing site as the customer considers a specific product. The company has signed up more than 100 Web retailers.
