An efficient approximation for project composite learning curves
Article Abstract:
Learning curves may be applied to critical path analysis to accurately estimate the time required to complete a specific project or program. In any project management, time approximation is required to know the project duration to integrate the learning effect of such approximation process. The secant and integral approximation is a more efficient method for project composite learning process compared to the approach demonstrated by Teplitz and Amor (1993). The secant and integral approximation method integrates the learning curve with the program duration.

Matrix management effectiveness: an update for research and engineering organizations
Article Abstract:
The matrix management organizational structure is becoming increasingly popular as businesses enhance international operations and the deployment of cross-functional teams become more widespread. The approach originated in 1960s and was used extensively by the aerospace industry to win government contracts. The effectiveness of matrix management, however, depends on the efficiency of program managers.
