The adoption of ISO 9000 standards within the Egyptian context: a diffusion of innovation approach
Article Abstract:
Data were gathered from 239 manufacturing businesses in Egypt to explore the factors significant in using and implementing ISO 9000. Three categories of factors were identified, namely the recognized features of innovation, the external elements, and the organizational traits or structure. Importance of acknowledging the implications of these factors on ISO 9000 implementation is explained.

Quality and human factor
Article Abstract:
The implications of total quality management for the management of human resources are discussed. The report revealed that there was a greater emphasis on flexible, responsive organization with multi-skilled workers and flexible technology rather than on simple economics of scale.
