An x-ray eye on company performance
Article Abstract:
The economic value added (EVA) and market value added (MVA) methods determine a company's internal creation of wealth, and are important tools for investing and assigning incentive rewards. EVA subtracts cost of capital, such as perceived market risk, from published profit. MVA adds borrowing to sharemarket capitalization and then subtracts capital employed.
