The paper chase
Article Abstract:
The enactment of the Immigration Act of 1990 and its ever-changing interpretation by the Department of Labor (DOL) has resulted in difficulties in hiring foreigners. Companies found to have hired illegal aliens would suffer serious penalties. This could be avoided by checking prospective employee papers with the DOL and the Immigration and Naturalization Service and by paying foreign employees at least 95% of the prevailing wage level.
