Lockheed admits Egypt bribe; fine set

Lockheed Corp. pleaded guilty to allegations that it had bribed an Egyptian legislator with $1 million in 1988. The company, which subsequently won a $79 million order for three cargo jets from the Egyptian government, was fined $24.8 million for violating the 1977 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Kanemaru charged with tax evasion
Article Abstract:
Former political insider Shin Kanemaru Mar 6, 1993, was charged with suspicion of income-tax evasion by federal prosecutors in Tokyo, Japan. Kanemaru would be put in jail for at least 10 days while the charges were investigated.
