Kuwaiti-born chemical engineer Ayyad was arrested in Maplewood, NJ, Mar 10, 1993, and charged with aiding and abetting in the Feb 26, 1993, bombing at the World Trade Center in New York, New York. The blast killed six people and injured over 1,000.

Two more suspects arrested in World Trade Center blast

Two additional suspects in the Mar 24, 1993, World Trade Center bombing were apprehended. Former cab driver Mahmud Abohalima was arrested in Cairo, Egypt, and Bilal Alkaisi turned himself in to authorities in New Jersey.
