Competing internationally through multiple innovative efforts
Article Abstract:
Most manufacturing companies face increasing pressures to compete in international markets in order to survive and prosper. A study of 86 small firms demonstrates the necessity for them to develop certain innovative capabilities apart from merely investing in research and development or in technology acquisition. Small companies must make synergistic multiple efforts to compensate for the scarcity of human and financial resources. Their very survival may depend more critically on innovative enterprise.
