Consensus forecasts of financial institutions
Article Abstract:
A survey of financial services companies reveals that strong economic growth is expected to 1998 and 1999 due to expected increases in consumer spending rates. The survey also finds that inflation and interest rates are likely remain low and labor demand likely to remain strong. Unemployment is also expected low but a slight increase looks likely because of a weaker manufacturing sector.
