Cross-border transfer of knowledge: cultural lessons from project Globe
Article Abstract:
The conclusions relating to cross-border transfer of knowledge drawn from the GLOBE study of 62 cultures are used to design an executive development program for a North European business school. The problems in transferring knowledge across borders due to cultural differences are discussed and suggestions are offered to successfully manage such transfers.

Multinational companies are increasingly becoming an integral part of alliance networks. The reasons for forming alliance networks are discussed. The practices required to manage these alliances are presented based on interviews of a number of executives from multinational corporations.
