Cuba: U.S. relaxes some restrictions

Pres Clinton approved the lifting of some restrictions in relations with Cuba that address personal and humanitarian issues. People can now travel more easily between the countries and transfer money. Clinton said his decision will enable democratic ideas to foster in Cuba.

Mexico's President Zedillo meets with Clinton in U.S.: loan repayment deal precedes visit
Article Abstract:
Ernesto Zedillo and Bill Clinton discussed the economic benefits of the US's loan to Mexico after the country's peso price fell in Dec 1994. Stronger economic ties will likely result even though Mexico's economy is still weak. Both leaders were criticized for the loans.
