Before this bonds were near their 1983 laws, Government National Mortgage Association (ginnie Maes) performed well during this period. Article Abstract:
Collecting stock and bond certificates, a hobby called scripophily, is becoming more and more popular. Many old securities turn out to be valuable as collector's items. Some low- coupon bonds include sinking funds that call for the retirement of obligations much earlier than maturity. A list of old issues that became valuable is included.
