Intel's online orders reach $1 billion a month
Article Abstract:
The highlight of a recent meeting with Intel officials and Wall Street analysts was the news that the company's new Internet order taking has climbed to $1 billion per month since it began offering e-commerce in July. The figure represents almost half the company's total sales revenue, though the orders are coming from current customers, not new customers. Already the firm is committed to the service and feel it, along with other cost-cutting measures, will contribute to a much more profitable quarter at the end of the year than it has had in a couple of years.
