Opportunity costs and entrepreneurial activity
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis that opportunity costs determine entrepreneurial activity is tested using a sample taken from a Canadian Labor Market Activity survey. The results show that individuals with low opportunity costs are more likely to engage in entrepreneurial activity, as proven by data that reveals that entrepreneurs usually had a lower-than-average income when they worked as paid employees.
