A profile of Calyptech, an electronic engineering company that went through a rough patch in 2000 when the tech sector fell sharply, is presented. John Maher, Tim Curnow and Gus Palone, the three electronic design engineers who founded the company survived the carnage and managed to revive the startup with the help of few lucrative contracts. Calyptech reported revenue of $1.8 million for the year 2003-04.

Professional associations feel that the ATO's campaign will shift attention from the shortcomings of the tax administration system to the shortcomings of tax agents.
