The anticipated downswings in the Australian small business markets are analyzed. In spite of the confidence displayed by the business owners, problems with regard to recruiting quality staff, rising costs, bad debts, unfavorable climatic conditions, poor returns, government regulations, all contribute to the growing apprehensive mood with small businesses.
