Chemicals giant DuPont intends to gradually become a life sciences corporation, exemplified by one of its newest innovations addressing waste, a biodegradable PET plastic made from corn sugar at DuPont Australia. It will focus on plant-based rather than petrochemicals-based production, and thus has recently acquired full control of the world's largest seed company.
