Effects of information sequence and irrelevant distractor information when using a computer-based decision aid
Article Abstract:
This study looked at the behavioral aspects of computer-aided decision-making programs, determining that the presence of irrelevant distractor information will detract from judgment accuracy. The study focused on auditing of client-banks and used four alternative decision aids. Another finding is that diagnostic information presented later in the process, rather than earlier, will have better effect on the resulting decisions. Judgment confidence is unrelated either to the sequence with which information was presented or to irrelevant distractor information.

Organization structure from a loose coupling perspective: A multidimensional approach
Article Abstract:
The study uses loose coupling concepts to develop a framework for studying organizational structure and interactions. The framework also incorporates modified network analysis. Three key independent variables that may affect patterns of coupling are tested; they are organization strategy, technology, and environmental turbulence.

The effectiveness of decisional guidance: An empirical evaluation
Article Abstract:
Study evaluates four types of decision support systems and how they affect the decision-making process. Four evaluation criteria were used, decision quality, user satisfaction, user learning, and decision-making efficiency. Results indicate that deliberate decisional guidance was more effective on the four criteria.
