Aleksander Kwasniewski defeated Pres Lech Walesa in a close presidential election. Kwasniewski and Walesa have similar political platforms, but the deciding factor could have been the perception that the Catholic Church was too involved in Poland's government. Walesa is Catholic, Kwasniewski is not.

Tyson defeats McNeely in boxing return
Article Abstract:
Mike Tyson defeated Peter McNeely halfway through the first round of the boxing match. McNeely's manager halted the fight after Tyson knocked down McNeely two times. Tyson was released from prison in Mar 1995 after serving time for raping a teenager. Tyson earned $25 million for his efforts.
