Article Abstract:
The Federation of NCR Users Groups (FNUG) is the United States-based umbrella organization for seven international user groups representing Argentina, France, England, Australia, South Africa, Western Canada, and America. The purpose of the groups is to provide for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experience. Each group sends representatives to the annual NUCON conferences.

Article Abstract:
An analogy is made between ancient superstition rites for fortune telling and modern managerial forecasting techniques. Business forecasting, it is concluded, may be better used as a confidence booster in time of uncertainty than as an attempt at actually foretelling the future.
