The various successful business deals carried out by family-owned businesses like the Smorgon family with assets of $2.37 billion dealing in steel business, the Liberman family with assets of $1.41 billion dealing in textile business, the Besen family with assets of $1.05 billion dealing in retail and real estate and subsequently entered BRW Rich 200 have been discussed. The details of the family-owned businesses that are recent entrants to the BRW Rich 200 like the Casella family with assets of $250 million dealing in wine production and some other family-owned businesses whose assets were recalculated like the Besen family with assets of $1.05 billion dealing in retail and real estate have been mentioned.

Nurture the talent
Article Abstract:
Few children would like to take over the family business from their parents. However, these children do have entrepreneurial talents which need to be harnessed by the parent at the right time. In other words, family businesses should be prepared to invest in a new venture that their children propose.
