IXL says president is leaving, revenue to miss expectations
Article Abstract:
IXL Enterprises president William C. Nussey resigned in a "mutual" decision between himself and company directors as IXL announces third quarter earnings will be 15% to 20% below expectations. Barry Sikes has also succeeded Niraj Shah as chief operating officer. The company lost $12.4 million for the quarter with revenue of $63.7 million. The losses may be attributed to the slowdown of companies that want to develop Web strategies.

Article Abstract:
The president of IBM's Lotus Development Corp. seems to have holes in his history as a Marine, as well as his college education, and yet he still manages to evoke admiration from his employees. Jeffrey Papows was rumoured to be a Marine flier, a Pepperdine University graduate with a Ph.D., a black belt in tae kwon do, and last but not least, an orphan. But, according to Mr. Papows himself, none of these things are true even if some of it was on his resume. Regardless of the discrepancies in his past, Jeffrey Papows still earns respect and admiration from his employees.
