Foreign exchange rates and consensus forecast

Article Abstract:

Developments in foreign exchange rates through the end of 2000 and beginning of 2001 are examined. Topics include a weakening trend for the US dollar, fluctuations in the euro and expectations for it to rise, downward trends for the yen, drop in the Canadian dollar due to a weakening of the US economy, and overvaluation of the Mexican peso.
