Franchisees fight back
Article Abstract:
The Howard government's decision to introduce the mandatory Franchising Code in 1998 in order to regulate the franchising sector has been met with skepticism from the franchising industry. Though the industry feels that no future exists for it; since the implementation of the code, it has actually obtained profits. The issues that have resulted in disputes between the franchisors and franchisees and the need of the hour to manage them effectively is discussed.
