Article Abstract:
Approximately twelve chief executive officers (CEOs) were interviewed to learn about their work styles and habits. Some of the characteristics of CEOs include workaholic and harddriving. Each CEO sets his priorities and then tries to manage them. The management style of the CEOs interviewed are examined and compared. A CEO's day is filled with meetings, keeping up with the paperwork and making sure jobs run smoothly.

During the time that Thomas Carroll was president and CEO of Lever Brothers Co., he declared that the lunch hour would be free from business. Carroll would play squash during his lunch hour. He found this sport or any other type of physical exercise was a means of working out frustrations. After his lunch time exercise Carroll would be able to finish out his workday invigorated.
