Europeans take golf's Ryder Cup

The European team defeated the US team to win the Ryder Cup on Sep 24, 1995, in Rochester, NY. It was the first time since 1989 that the Europeans had won the coveted biennial golf tournament. Curtis Strange's loss to Nick Faldo was one of the pivotal matches of the tournament.

Daly wins British open golf title
