National Australia Bank's (NAB) wisdom in retaining Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank in Britain is questioned in the light of recent sale of NAB's two Irish banks by John Stewart. The financial challenge before NAB is to improve its performance in Australia. Restructuring required to improve the performance of NAB is also discussed.
