House bank records subpoenaed

Special prosecutor Malcolm R. Wilkey subpoenaed records of all House of Representative member's accounts between 1988 and 1991 in his investigation of overdrafts at the House Bank. The House voted to comply, although House leaders had opposed the move.

Senators' honoraria receipts reported
Article Abstract:
Eleven senators kept for personal use the maximum amount of honoraria collected before the 1991 ban. Another 19 kept more than $20,000. House members earned some $1.2 million in honoraria in 1991, all of which was required to be donated to charity.
