Internationalization as a learning process: Singapore MNCs in China
Article Abstract:
Corporate internationalization is a process which is often discouraged by earlier joint ventures. This is the common mistake of beginners in the world of internalization, especially in China. Newcomers do not know that one basic principle in the learning process is taking time to accept and digest what are learned from experience. Management scholars suggest that multinational corporations need to be responsive and efficient while learning from their international operations, which implies that learning has to be prioritized in internationalization.
