Interpreting the ethicality of corporate governance decisions in Russia: utilizing integrative social contracts theory to evaluate the relevance of agency theory norms
Article Abstract:
The unsuitability of agency theory norms to interpret the ethicality of corporate governance in Russia is discussed. Integrative social contract theory is used to explain that the conflict is due to the prevalence of two sets of values, namely the traditional Russian values and market-oriented values for which the norms were developed.

Transferring management knowledge to Russia: a culturally based approach

The transition to market economy was quite confusing for Russian managers in the 1990s. Rayter Group, a cross-cultural training organization, conducted programs for transferring the Western management knowledge to Russian managers. The salient lessons from these programs are discussed.
