Joint document management system for IBM and Xerox
Article Abstract:
Two well known competitors in the computer printer business, International Business Machines and Xerox respectively, have decided to join forces in order to market an officewide document management system. The agreement couples IBM's Lotus suite of document management software with Xerox's Document Centre (digital machines which can print copy and scan). Although the marketing efforts of the two companies have been joined, customers will still need to pay for the two products separately and in fact some customers may chose to buy only half of the package.
