Judge reverses controversial drug ruling

Baer, on Apr 1, 1996, reversed an earlier ruling suppressing evidence in the drug case against Carol Bayless. The judge had originally ruled that police did not have probable cause to search the woman's vehicle, but Pres Clinton and other politicians had condemned the ruling as soft on crime.
