Long-term vision
Article Abstract:
Since the job of reform can never be finished, it needs the long-term vision and acumen of business and community leaders to make any country a better place to live. Australia is no exception, even though it only represents 1.3% of the world economy, but it has performed well as a nation, and statistics provide solutions to reforms mainly in population policy, infrastructure, water management and environment.

Heavy criticisms by powerful interests at political and business level of the National Competition Council and Australian Competition, and Consumer Commission are discussed. To provide stable economic growth and a thriving business sector, a free-enterprise economy where there is vigorous lawful competition between business enterprises is needed.
